The problem<\/h2>\n

Maxifleur’s existing Hyv\u00e4 theme was lagging behind the latest Hyv\u00e4 version. This meant no access to new features and performance improvements, increasing compatibility issues with updated extensions, and a codebase that was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain. Furthermore, Maxifleur wanted to implement a completely refreshed visual design\u2014not just a round of bug fixes, but a fundamental repositioning of the frontend that aligns with the brand’s premium character. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n

What we did<\/h2>\n <\/div>\n \n
\n

Younify set up a separate staging environment for the V2 development and initiated a new Hyv\u00e4 child theme on the most recent version. The upgrade included updating Alpine.js and Tailwind CSS to the latest versions, rewriting outdated template patterns, and resolving all compatibility issues with the Younify modules. <\/p>\n

The new design was implemented per page type: homepage, category page, product page, cart, checkout, account pages, and all CMS pages. Special attention was given to the media gallery with video support, the add-to-cart popup, and dynamic VAT banners that switch based on tax status. Following the launch, an extensive round of bug fixes and ongoing Core Web Vitals improvements were carried out. <\/p>\n <\/div>\n \n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n

The result<\/h2>\n

The Hyv\u00e4 V2 upgrade delivered visible improvements across all fronts: faster loading times due to the optimized Alpine.js implementation, a fresh and consistent visual design that better aligns with Maxifleur’s premium brand character, and improved Core Web Vitals scores that positively impact organic rankings. Simultaneously, the upgrade established the technical foundation for further development of the webshop. <\/p>\n\n
